Waldringfield Harbourmaster

Waldringfield has no visitor moorings, but we will do our best to accommodate visiting yachts that require a mooring for a night or two. Most of the private moorings in Waldringfield are restricted to craft of 36 feet (11m) LOA or less - in fact many are only suitable up to 20 feet (6m) LOA.

If you have picked up a mooring please do not leave your vessel unattended without first contacting the mooring's owner or the harbourmaster.

The harbourmaster, John Smith, can be contacted on 01473 736257 (home) or 07505 035456
Email: waldringfieldhm@btinternet.com   When afloat, VHF channel M (37A) is usually monitored.

Alternatively, arrangements may be made with Waldringfield Boatyard on 01473 736260.

For larger craft, there are good anchorages at “The Rocks” (between Waldringfield and Ramsholt) and at “The Tips” (upriver of the moorings). Please do not anchor in the channel and do not moor to any racing marks (they will move!)

Use of the scrubbing posts is restricted to craft of no more than 10.6m. Please contact the harbourmaster to book, preferably by email waldringfieldhm@btinternet.com.

There is a waiting list for permanent moorings - contact the Waldringfield Fairway Committee on wfcsec@googlemail.com

Mooring holders may apply to the secretary for a licence to keep a dinghy on the beach dinghy licence application
